My build of the Voice of Saturn Sequencer.
All details there in the video, no sense in cutting and pasting it here.
Looking for suggestions on how to properly label this thing now.
Not willing to use rub on dry transfers, pain in the ass.
Have a punch labeler, but that's not gonna look very good.
Suggestions?

For labeling it, I don't know. I'd just cut a piece of plastic and make an overlay for it.
If I try to Dremel it I'll just ruin it. =]
I got two options for you for labeling.
1. Chemical etch the sheet metal like I did for the chess tables.
2. Photoshop a background graphic, get it printed on high gloss and super 77 glue it to the sheetmetal, then overlay a sheet of 3/16" acrylic over the top.
I can give you more details on either method if you like.
2. That looks good too, though I stopped working with Lexan out of frustration. I think I like 1 best. =]
Yes, totally, please, details on etching aluminum would be awesome. =]
Is that brass or copper in the pix?
I think I also have zinc on hand, found a sheet of it in the garage.

I know you can get them in smaller quantity.
Instead of using your own desktop printer, I'd have it done at a good laser printing place like Kinkos or some other quick printer who has a high resolution laser/color laser machine with a transparency setting. (Otherwise, the toner may smear.)
Better yet, print everything BACKWARDS on the transparency sheet so when you glue it down (with a tiny dab of super glue on each corner), the toner will not rub off because it will be on the underside of the label.
P.S. AWESOME WORK!!
stumbled on this a while ago: check it out for transfers. Laser jet ink is actually a plastic, so it looks great and sticks permanently. Haven't tried it personally, but makes sense. i know you can iron laser jet ink this way too.
your next update better have that thing with "big pimpin" in fake diamonds and cooling fans with spinners on them.
