Somebody posted that a while back. Snake oil.

"and woven jacketing to reduce vibration and to add durability. Additionally, signal directional markings are provided for optimum signal transfer."

Yeah, because vibration will affect the digital signal path...and um, what vibration?! It's a domestic hi-fi. If you are listening at levels so loud things are vibrating the chances are there are a whole lot more things causing distortion than any possible vibration is going to introduce.

And directional arrows somehow provide optimum signal transfer? How?!? They point both ways, and unless I'm much mistaken, Ethernet cables are bi-directional, so you couldn't possibly plug them in the wrong way! What a load of horse shit.

Yeah, the commentors have a lot of fun with the direction thingy.

you could possibly get another few meters on the end of the ethernet specification with those.

but yah,

why the fuck do you need high quality ables for digital signals?

...they only come in 1.5m lengths...

Seen it before, but kudos to Denon for turning stupidity into cash without involving religion.

The only thing worth the $500 is comments on Amazon.

This has to be a joke. No one could be dumb enough to buy into this, let alone actually buy it.

If it is for real, then that cable seriously is about as useless as tits on a bull. We use Cat6 cable at work that probably does better, and it was way cheaper, I assure you.

scams
this and HDMI cables are the biggest ripoff scams on the consumer by resellers and manufacturers.

They are trying to sucker those stupid analog folk who did need quality cables, but for digital as long as a digital signal is sent and works there is no need for a better cable, either a digital cable works or it does not work. No if they got in to shielding that might be another story.

These might be cables for the Military to buy with their $1000 toilet seats.
